The Sunshine Coast offers some of the best golfing available in the world. In fact, it draws many amateur and pro golfers to Coolum as it’s a great central location for the Sunshine Coast’s favourite Golfing Clubs. The sub-tropical climate means that golf games can be enjoyed any time of the year. From the scenic views to beautifully landscaped courses to the sense of community many of the golf clubs provide, there is something for every golfing enthusiast on the Sunshine Coast.

The five-star, luxurious Palmer Coolum Resort is one of the leading locales for golf. It has a challenging 18-hole, 72-par course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. This course has been played by some golfing greats such as Darren Clarke and Bubba Watson. Golf education is available daily, and the on-site golf pro shop has everything you could need for a game.

The Peregian Springs Golf Club is especially popular for tourists for more reasons than the fact that it is only a 10-minute drive from the Sunshine Coast Airport. This sprawling, gorgeous course covers 62 hectares and has unique challenges that add an extra element of fun to the play of even seasoned pros. Practice facilities are available here as well.

Championship golf courses at the Noosa Springs Golf and Spa Resort are appealing for complete novices, intermediate players, experienced amateurs, and pros. The 18-hole, par-72 course is beautifully landscaped and maintained. It has 69 bunkers, and the club keeps dozens of electric golf carts for the use of guests. The scenic course next to Lake Weyba was designed by Graham Papworth, who was able to enhance the natural environment without causing harm to it. Golfers can even see 10 freshwater lakes in the midst of playing, and a spa is available in the golf club for relaxation after play.

Yet another fantastic opportunity for golfers of all skill levels to revel in the joy of the sport and take in some healthy competition is the Twin Waters Golf Club. It is an exclusive club with a dress code that must be followed, but there is a less formal attitude on the beautiful, 18-hole golf course.

So if you love your golf, come and visit the Beach Retreat at Coolum where the best of the Sunshine Coast’s golf courses are just minutes away.
